Ҵý has reached the milestone of 5000 sensors shipped to customers across 14 countries

Ҵý has reached a major milestone with the delivery of 5000 WAND Thickness Monitoring (TM) Sensors shipped worldwide to customers this week. The latest shipment, delivered to a major oil and gas operator in India, marks continued global adoption of the WAND Solution, now in use across 14 countries and a growing number of industries.

Ҵý (Wireless and Non-Destructive) is a patented wall thickness monitoring technology that enables accurate, repeatable ultrasonic measurements without the need for cables, batteries, or regular surface access. The sensors are permanently installed onto assets such as pipelines, tanks, and structural components. They can even be installed beneath coatings or insulation, making them ideal for long-term corrosion and erosion monitoring. Data can be collected either manually using a WAND Handheld Data Collector (HDC) or automatically via a WAND Remote Data Collector (RDC), and transmitted securely to the cloud for analysis through the Ҵý Data Analysis & Reporting Toolkit (iDART) software platform.

Established in 2015, Ҵý is a spin-out from the Ultrasonics and at the University of Bristol. The company’s wall thickness monitoring technology was developed over several years at the University by , and . The company has since developed a range of WAND products increased the workforce, grown a network of partnerships, and has been validated by multiple major oil and gas operators. After achieving their milestone of 5000 WAND Sensors shipped worldwide, Ҵý retains commitment to designing, developing, and manufacturing WAND products from their Bristol headquarters and maintains unparalleled lead times.

CEO of Ҵý, , said “This is a big achievement for the team, we have experienced rapid growth over the last 7 years, despite the economic climate. Bringing new and disruptive technology to market has not been without its challenges, we’re now in a strong position with WAND successfully validated by a number of major oil and gas companies. In addition, we recently launched the much-anticipated WAND-RDC for automated measurements, it’s a really exciting time for the team”.
